Raspberry Leaf Tea as a natural remedy

Raspberries are rich in vitamins and secondary plant compounds, as well as minerals such as calcium, magnesium and iron. At the same time, they contain hardly any calories, so you can treat yourself to a bowl of fresh raspberries as a delicious and healthy snack without having to worry about your figure.

Raspberry leaf tea is mainly used as a home remedy for mild diarrhoea. A few of the active ingredients have an astringent effect on the tissue, as well as a relaxing effect on the muscles, so that the intestines can calm down more quickly. Raspberry leaf tea is also said to have the same effect on mild menstrual cramps, which is why it is often recommended by nutritionists as a remedy.

The same advisors sometimes recommend raspberry leaf tea as a support during childbirth. The theory behind this is that the relaxing agents soften the cervix and stimulate labour. However, this has not yet been scientifically proven. In principle, medicinal teas during pregnancy should rather be discussed with professionals. Cheers.
