Goji Berries Health Benefits

A few years ago, they suddenly appeared everywhere: superfoods. These are natural foods that have an extremely high nutrient and vital substance density. Various positive properties for the maintenance and strengthening of the body are therefore attributed to them. First and foremost is the goji berry.

Goji berries have many names. In Germany they are called goat's thorn fruit, wolfberry or lucky berry, the Latin name is Lycium barbarum. They originate from China and Mongolia and have been used in traditional Chinese medicine for thousands of years.

Goji berries contain more iron than spinach and are rich in vitamins A, C and E. They contain a variety of trace elements and antioxidants, which are known to help us look younger. They are said to have anti-inflammatory and immune-boosting properties. Those who like to exercise or otherwise keep physically fit could benefit from the fact that goji berries could increase muscle performance. Last but not least, the berries are also said to have a stress-relieving effect. Cheers.
