Valerian Health Benefits

The valerian root, which is usually used for making tea, is full of essential oils that have a calming effect on the body. This is one of the reasons why valerian is not only popular as valerian tea, but also as capsules, tablets, drops or bath additives.

Clinical studies have shown that valerian can relieve insomnia, nervousness and restlessness if taken regularly. It usually takes a few days or up to a month for it to develop its full effect. Those who want to drink valerian tea to sleep better are recommended to do so about half an hour before going to bed.

But valerian does not only help you to fall asleep. It can also promote concentration and help with simple stomach problems. Cheers.
