Welcome to the world of modern tea ceremony.

Loose Tea with Nana Mint

When you think of mint, the first thing that comes to mind is probably the taste of fresh peppermint tea. But there is another mint variety that has a very distinctive, much sweeter flavour of its own: the Nana mint. The name itself is actually the same twice over, because "Nana" is the Arabic word for "mint". This mint variety is also known by other names: Moroccan mint, green mint or spearmint. Anyone who has tasted Nana mint in direct comparison with peppermint will immediately notice the difference. Unlike peppermint, Nana mint does not contain menthol, which is why it does not taste sharp. It has a sweet, fresh mint flavour that is often used in toothpaste or chewing gum. We have fresh, certified organic Nana mint in stock for you as a tea.

Nana Mint as a collective Term

It is common in botany for some plants to hybridise with other species or subspecies of their own genus. This is also the case with the mint itself. Green mint, Moroccan mint and spearmint can be different types of mint that have a similar taste. They are sometimes used synonymously under the collective term Nana mint, sometimes under the collective term green mint and sometimes under spearmint.
